Montserrat Domicile and new Governorship for the Bank of Commonwealth

MONTSERRAT, August 27, 2024 - The Union State of British Commonwealth announces that the central bank of the Union State, the Bank of Commonwealth, that was established in 2022 by Dominion Charter 13 of the British Commonwealth, after long negotiations with HM Government and the Montserratian Government, is now Domiciled at Bankside, Salem, Montserrat, British West Indies under local registration number L0004/2018.

The Hon. Keith Sweeney has been appointed by HSH Michail Roerich-Kolpidis as the second Governor of the Bank of the Commonwealth, and Lady Margo Roerich as his Deputy for Regulation and Markets. Together they form the new Court of Governors of the Bank of Commonwealth according to the by-law of the central bank.

Governor Sweeney is a native Montserratian with 2 decades of experience and has said on the appointment;

I am very excited for this new chapter of Commonwealth Banking, and hope to achieve great progress for the island and the world as a whole in terms of providing inclusive banking for people.

Lady Margo Roerich

Lady Roerich is Lady High Treasurer of Commonwealth, Trustee for the British Commonwealth, and director of the Commonwealth Foundation as well as the co-Founder of HDB.
